Abstract

This comprehensive program is designed for trainers who instructor those who carry a handgun professionally and need a strong instructional foundation on which to advance their own programs. This course offers the tools necessary for training law enforcement, military and other professional personnel in advanced applications of the combative handgun. This program includes critical teaching, shooting and manipulation skills, as well as, detailed instructional sessions on range operations, shoot house operations, and force on force training.

Abstract

This course is specifically designed for the existing law enforcement, private security, or military firearms instructor who needs an enhanced knowledge of the application of diminished light tactics in conjunction with the use of firearms in critical, real world situations. Additionally, this course is designed to provide a solid understanding of adult education and methods of instruction as they pertain to the field of diminished light tactics, firearms, and force application. Students will also learn acceptable and legally defendable methods of subject control, use of force, and weapon retention. Practical application exercises are combined with stimulus/response conditioning principals and the development of a winning mindset.
 
This demanding program is delivered in a contemporary and legally defensible format. The student will develop and define reactionary competence through simulated situations and demanding initiative based drills.

Abstract


The goal of the training program is to prepare the academy and in-service instructor to conduct and manage productive and effective high liability & proficiency skills training programs and functions beyond basic level instruction. Additionally, the course is designed to give the student instructor a practical base of understanding of basic and advanced training methods like imagery, simulation and stimulus-response training as they apply to the use of force and other high liability training fields.

The course will be directed at a functional understanding of the principals of adult education and educational psychology. Several areas will be addressed; each area by it self is an area of expertise requiring detailed individual course instruction.

Abstract

The Advanced Instructor Development program is an advanced instructor learning program intended for those individuals who are currently functioning in a training capacity as an instructor and want to effectively maximize their ability to transfer knowledge to students, academies and experienced individuals. In addition, this program is also designed to help participants increase their knowledge and application of curriculum development, program assessment and adult learning techniques.

The course will be directed at a multi agency/multi disciplinary approach to tactical operations. Several areas will be addressed; each area by it self is an area of expertise requiring detailed individual course instruction.

Abstract


This course is designed for law enforcement, correctional, armed security, and military personnel. The course and its various courses of fire focus on techniques that have a broad array of applications for the rifle or carbine including, patrol operations, emergency response, close quarters deployment, and intermediate to long range applications. The course is designed to provide a high degree of instructor development topics concentrating on those areas that will enable the professional to become a more effective instructor.

Abstract

The goal of the training program is to prepare and condition the attendee to safely apply weaponless subject control, containment and threat neutralization techniques in both the patrol and tactical environments and instruct/certify others in the application of these skills. Additionally, the course will concentrate on the application of alternative force application tools (less lethal) and impact weapons. Further, the program will focus on establishing an understanding of use of force, techniques to gain subject compliance, and to safely control individuals. Additionally, the program will heavily emphasize instructor development skills for the successful transfer of this type of information.

This contemporary program is designed around highly structured techniques that have been proven effective in countless real world situations. Further, the program is delivered in an easy to follow and legally defensible format, designed to develop the officers situational awareness and confidence in situations requiring a weaponless application of force. A heavy emphasis is placed on the disciplined application of all techniques, utilizing appropriate levels of force and minimizing the risk of injury to both officer and suspect.

Abstract


This is an advanced skill development course designed for personnel at the law enforcement and military level who have or are preparing to establish a less lethal and chemical munitions program, with particular emphasis on civil disturbance and tactical application. During this program of instruction the student will receive a practical and functional base of knowledge in the safe and appropriate application of all platforms of less lethal munitions (12 gauge through 40mm) and the safe and effective use of all contemporary chemical munitions (hand held projectors through crowd control devices). Further, the student will receive training in the efficient and effective use of various tactics in environmental conditions similar to those experienced during actual missions and operations, to include; close quarters conditions, crowd control and management, barricade situations and down man/officer rescue operations.

With a specific focus on safe and appropriate application, this program is presented in a contemporary and legally defensible format. Response skills will be developed through simulated situations and dynamic exercises.
